Since its first year of operation, the City of Cartagena Ecoparque city has managed more than 176 tonnes of different wastes, deposited by individuals in these facilities, located in the area of Los Molinos Gallegos de San Felix, along with the pound.
Among them, the rubble, which in the last twelve months have come to collect 91.5 tons, and furniture and fixtures of wood, which has managed more than 43 tons.
Next in collection volume monitors and computer screens and televisions, with over 11 tons and metals and scrap, with 8.5 tons.
Other types of waste such as mattresses, the remains of appliances, batteries, computer components and complete pruning, among several others, the bulk of the volume of waste managed by the EcoPark since its launching in May 2007.
Moreover, during this same period, have been deposited at these facilities over a thousand liters of mineral and vegetable oils, from domestic waste.

As you may recall the EcoPark is a municipal enabled the collection of certain household waste that can not be placed in containers that are usual in the streets.
The facilities are set up so that citizens can access it in their vehicles and easily deposit waste.

The facility includes a control booth in which the offices and health services.
The entrance and exit to the EcoPark is made through a sliding door 8 m wide.
This gate is used by both users and vehicles from trucks responsible for the removal of containers.
Its opening hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 h to 13:00 h and 15:30 h to 20:00 h and on Saturdays from 9 to 13 hours.

Cartagena City Council intends to complete the service soon with the launch of two new Ecoparks in the area of the valley and Los Belones.
