The SPAT hosts a course for the Port Police (12/02/2016)

The School of Public Safety of the City of Cartagena (SPACE) will host a course designed for the Port Police which aims to develop basic concepts of action and intervention on, self-protection, defense and decision to attack.

Basic Techniques course for police intervention and self-Port, which depends on the Port Authority of Cartagena, consists of four issues to be held from February 15 to March 11 a total of 10 students in each edition.

The first edition will take place between 15 and 19 February, and three other issues in the next three weeks, for all the Port Police agents have access to the necessary skills to perform their work safely.

CONTENTS

During the course will develop the following contents:

Police intervention to people on foot.

Intervention vehicles.

Self-protection measures.

Positioning and roles of the unit.

Melee.

Defense against grips.

Attacks with knives and blunt objects.

Attacks with firearms.

Use of techniques melee and defense

Searches.
