The Department of Tourism, Rural Development, Coastal and Fisheries of the City of Cartagena has shown its commitment to revegetation and conservation trails of Mount Roland, collaborating in the conference which was held last Saturday, which provided technical support and he financed the publication of informative materials.
The mayor, Obdulia Gómez, said the importance of such actions to conserve one of the places of greatest environmental value and is the most visited Cartagena and visitors from other municipalities during the weekends for hiking .
The works were carried out by Environmental Volunteers were specifically 35 volunteers who participated in the Saturday in this place, doing work revegetation with native species of shortcuts in a degraded due to traffic or signaling pathways area and training and awareness to visitors of this Natural Area.
To terminate the revegetation of the area and continue with the actions of information and awareness, there is provided a new day on Saturday, February 20, from 10:00 to 14:00 hours, being essential prior registration in the email carmen.molina @ columbares.org, with a minimum of two days indicating: name, ID number and date of birth.
