The council area of Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, and the mayor of Social Services, Carmen Martin, met this morning at the administrative building of San Miguel, the president of the Diabetic Society of Cartagena and Shire (Sodicar ), Maria Dolores Garcia.
The president of Sodicar presented Calderon and Martin a memory of the activities of the association during the past 2015, and announced the two mayors some of the activities planned for this year in which they will have the support of the City of Cartagena .
The excellent harmony between the area of Quality of Life, formed by Francisco Calderon and Carmen Martin and Sodicar is manifested in the existence of collaboration agreements between the local administration and partnership through the departments of Health and Human Services .
Similarly, the deputies have treated Sodicar the relationship it has with the Autonomous Community brindándose, from the area of quality of life, to get involved in the optimization of this collaboration for the benefit of the objectives and services provided by the association.
Sodicar, association emerged in 1983, declared of public interest, has among its aims, guiding people with diabetes, their caregivers and family members care for people with diabetes both in healthcare and in its social, educational and labor integration, the prevention of diabetes;
promoting diabetes education and promote research, among others.
