Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejon, and the Councillor for Education, David Martinez Noguera, visited on Thursday afternoon the neighborhood of Lo Campano to learn about the educational project La Botica del Libro taking place in a former municipal nursery school.
The entertainment program and school support open in the afternoon on weekdays and him come daily 45 children and young people between 3 and 17 years where a group of coaches and teachers help children improve their knowledge and training activities tutoring.
In addition, the Deputy Mayor and Councilman visited the toy library project of Caritas of San Pedro Pescador where a group of children go every afternoon to learn and practice skills with various games and group dynamics.
The City Council collected the needs of these centers to improve facilities and equipment in order that these children and youth eligible for an educational alternative leisure and free time and avoid high levels of risk of exclusion social, truancy, addiction problems and the lack of job opportunities.
