A sample of the great archaeological heritage has Cartagena will be transferred to form part of an exhibition which will focus on the figures of the Scipio family and its role in the conquest of Hispania by the Roman Empire.
They are seventeen pieces from the collections which houses the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Cartagena

This sample of our heritage, will be part of the great exhibition Scipio.
The conquest of Hispania in Rome organized by the Regional Archaeological Museum of Madrid, Alcala de Henares, which will be open between February and September this year.
The theme of the exhibition tries to explain how the decisive historical event meant for the Roman conquest of Hispania was the result of the clash between Roma and Carthaginés Empire, with its foundation in Hispania.
The centerpiece of the exhibition will focus on the response of imperial Rome, they had many members of one of the largest families of the Roman aristocracy, especially Scipio.

The exhibition is curated by Prof. Dr.
Bendala Manuel Galán, Professor of Archaeology, who is now retired and for many years has been director of the Department of Prehistory and Archaeology of the Faculty of Arts at the Autonomous University of Madrid.
