The collaboration of the Consistory
the Saharawi cause has been the main reason for the meeting between the council area of Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, the vice president of the Regional Assembly, María López Montalbán and the r epresentative NGO Firefighters in Action n Gines Vergara.
The meeting served to set the tone of cooperation of the City with the project to install water purification plants compact in r efugee Sahrawi camps hosting 300,000 people.
Municipal aid, to be channeled through Red Crescent, will focus on the search for resources by charities or other actions to promote the installation of the plants that provide drinking water to the population.
During the meeting, which was developed in the administrative building of San Miguel Calderon reaffirmed municipal involvement with the Saharawi people.
This support was evident last December 4 with the approval of the Governing Board of a direct subsidy of 7,000 euros to Smile Sahrawi Association for the development of Holidays in Peace Programme 2015.
