After five meetings since it was approved in December by the Governing Board the proposal of work on the new ordinance hawking in the city of Cartagena, this morning the government team has reached an agreement with associations of street vendors, merchants and municipal groups. The Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Economic Strategy, Employment, Innovation, Business and Trade, Ana Belen Castejon, highlighted the consensus achieved has resulted in a first draft which will soon take the requisite steps for approval. Castejon has indicated that it has taken a little longer, but the important thing is that there has been participation of all the sectors involved and the result is satisfactory for todos.Entre other issues and although the intention of the City Council at no time was the door the privatization of the markets, the new text of the ordinance has collected expressly the public nature of pampering.
