The mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez has received Natursport President Lazaro Gimenez together to try to actions which promote the socio-economic development through rural, sports and nature tourism.
Natursport is an entity that has already developed in the city of Cartagena various projects revaluation of its natural and cultural heritage related to its value, through recreation and tourism programs.
Gimenez has transmitted to the mayor of Cartagena Natursport work philosophy, a non-profit organization that has great involvement in all programs developed both municipalities or individuals.

Mainly Natursport president, has informed the mayors of four concrete proposals that can collaborate together.
The first is the publication of a book based on eight walks in Cartagena to see the city.

The intention of the editors is to publish it in English.
Another proposal that has been discussed is the possibility of improving Cross Roads leaving Cartagena.

Also, another project is the development value of the Route of the Carabinieri, through the enhancement of the GR-92, which runs along the coastline and which, according to Giménez, Cartagena has the largest percentage of the territory.

Finally, another route of great interest to promote nature tourism and sports in the municipality is the project of Route Hannibal, which runs along an old Roman road between the cities of Cartagena and Castulo, in Linares and is intended to make walking or cycling.
In a first phase intended to unite Cartagena and Lorca, where they already have a section set up the reservoir of Puentes.
Giménez pointed out that there are some initiatives already underway and what they want to do is join and establish a joint proposal.
