Mario Benedetti was one of the greatest Latin American poets of all time, and his life was marked by his ten years of exile after the coup in Uruguay in 1973. During this time I had to be away from his great love, Luz Lopez, who had been married since vientiocho, and uses that decade to travel around the world about the situation in his country.
