The area councilor Quality of Life today met Monday with representatives of the foundation, in the round of contacts that the mayor is having with organizations working in the field of citizen cooperation
The council area of Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, met Monday with representatives of the Foundation CEPAIM know the different actions the association takes place in the downtown area of the municipality, in addition to address various issues of interest to both institutions.
This meeting is part of the round of meetings that Calderon is having with different associations working in the field of citizen cooperation.
The meeting with the mayor was attended by the coordinator of the Intercultural Community Intervention Team (ICI) and the Historic Area CEPAIM, Imelda Lliguicota Station Foundation and a social worker from the Association, Cristina Martinez.
Among the various issues that have been addressed, was the collaboration between the municipality and associations working in the old town, or cooperation between social workers CEPAIM Foundation and Consistory.
Obra Social La Caixa is the driving of ICI project, implemented in 39 Spanish cities, with the City of Cartagena and the Foundation CEPAIM promoters in the Old Town and in the station sector.
ICI offers training in various training centers in Cartagena, as the Infant School La Milagrosa, IES Espada or UPCT.
CEPAIM works closely with the City Council. Among other actions, jointly promoted intercultural community process Cartagena, organizing events such as a technical conference called Together for coexistence, held on January 22 in order to meet in depth the role of government, technical resources and the public, on the most relevant aspects of the Old Town and the station sector.
The CEPAIM Foundation is a non-profit organization which aims to promote a model of inclusive and intercultural society, providing full access to the rights of the most vulnerable in our society.
