The Local Government Committee this morning approved the proposal of the council area of Culture, Archaeological Heritage and Sports, Ricardo Segado, a new agreement of the ACTIVE program, the Foundation for Health Education and Research in the Region of Murcia (FFIS ).
This program is to use regular physical activity as a tool to educate healthy lifestyles at all ages, as it reduces the risk of disease and helps keep arteries flexible and healthy, strengthens muscles and bones, and contributes to the nervous system in good shape.
The main objective of the program is to motivate people to sport and physical inactivity to reduce rates below 45 percent, with the intention of improving the health of Cartagena.
In this Agreement the terms of collaboration between the city of Cartagena and FFIS, in order to set formulas to facilitate the participants, once the Active Program, continue physical activity in groups of the Sports Department was established.
The City of Cartagena is committed to determine the characteristics required of the technical staff that will be part of the program, facilitating the use of the offices and community centers for development, planning and conduct monitoring activities established jointly in the monitoring committee.
Events take place in the sports facilities of San Anton Pavilion, Pavilion Los Dolores Jimenez Hall of the Sword, The Ajorra, Pavilion B ° Peral-Four Saints and Central Pavilion.
