The mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, accompanied by the Councillor of the area of Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, held a meeting with the technical director and responsible for buildings Geriatros, contractor management of the nursing home Source Cubas Jose Manuel Pazos and Manuel Romero, respectively.
During the meeting, representatives of Geriatros have reported the intention to bring about the opening of the center during the month of February.
Lopez has sent Pazos Romero and municipal collaboration to help as the possibilities of the Consistory to become effective this reopening.
It recalls that the residence is closed since 2005, when the refurbishment, at which the largest were transferred to other centers began.
Source Cubas has 120 places for dependent and a day center which, initially, is enabled for 40 people.
The reopening of the residence seniors Source Cubas enable to meet the growing demand for existing places in the region, in a functional facilities adapted to the needs of new users.
