On Tuesday December 29, at 20.00, held in the Auditorium and Convention Center The Batel the third special concert on the occasion of the nineteenth edition of the contest between strings and brass organize the Youth Council and the Conservatory of Music Cartagena.
This contest is defined as a space for young classical music performers in the region of Murcia.
For this event, the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena expand its staff, who will direct Leonardo Martinez Cayuelas.
Moreover, in this new cycle of special concerts the presence of former winners of the competition already consolidated recovers, as is the case of the young Cartagena Olga Miriam Shepherd, who won first prize in the fourth edition of this competition and delight with a performance as a soloist playing the oboe.
To complete the program features the world premiere of The Queen of Flowers, Javier Pérez Garrido, Cartagena composer awarded in more than 20 occasions, including gold and bronze medals in the Global Music Awards California.
The concert concluded with the Symphony No. 3 in E flat major by Beethoven.
Admission to the event is free until full capacity, and the doors will open at 19.00.
They will attend the concert the Minister of Culture, Noelia Arroyo, Councillor of Greater Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, and Councillor of Greater Culture and Youth, Ricardo Ortega.
