The Department of Education of the City of Cartagena has launched this school year the educational program a natural space to discover: Galifa, which aimed at students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Primary, it aims to show the kids ways to learn and enjoy the natural area fostering respect and preservation of the environment, providing experiential activities adapted to each group of students.
This activity begins at the municipal sociocultural local Galifa, where students first section of primary, arrive at the local ten o'clock bus and are greeted with an audiovisual and workbook to learn some important aspects Natural Area Sierra de la Muela, Cape Tiñoso and Roldan.
Then they perform a didactic itinerary environment Galifa to see the different trees (almond, carob), shrubs (palmetto, rosemary), the elements of the landscape (Mount Roland, La Muela) and the structure of an old mill area.
The day ends at the beach of Portus, where students play the message search and identify the remains of the marine environment is in the Arena (remains of Posidonia, algae).
From there, the bus leaving them next to the stop of the beach, at 13.00 hours waiting to take them back to school.
In this activity a maximum of 30 students, who are accompanied by a guide and teaching materials available, all provided by the Department of Education participating.
