The Social Council of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena today approved budgets UPCT.
The educational institution will handle almost 53 million euros in 2016. This amount translates into an increase of 8.89% over the 2015 budget.
They are the first budgets that are part of the Multi-Year Plan 2016/2020, an improvement of 5.57% in the regional financing.
The revenues experienced an increase of 13.5% due to the success of international educational projects and improvement in financing business research.
Personnel costs consume 71.5% of the budget and increased by 8.89%.
In this climb itself contributes rise of public employees, the return of 38% of the bonus in 2012 and subtracted transformation initiatives and promotion of human resources, paralyzed from that period and the payment of recognition of positive evaluations Teachers with employment.
Chapter highlights of scholarships for UPCT, reaching an amount of over 500,000 euros, due to the evolution of the network's own chairs and scholarships aim to attract talent and excellence.
The chapter on current expenditure on goods and services totaling 7.6 million euros, an increase of 7.71% compared to the year 2015. Despite this increase, which is directly related to the increase in research and training activities, control over these expenses is very demanding for the educational institution, which grows in research facilities and the services they require as maintenance, cleaning and energy, among others.
Investments in infrastructure are very small, but research costs are also listed in this chapter, so a budget increase of 40% to 6 million euros occurs.
In the Multiannual Financing Plan, due to the deviation of the deficit of the CARM, could not be declared sufficient budgetary allocations capital to undertake with some diligence Infrastructure Plan UPCT 2015/20, which includes, among other actions, the construction of the School of Architecture and Building.
In the 2016 Budget does not own funds for this important project is still intended.
In today's session have been sworn in as new members Juan Pedro Martínez García, on behalf of the Workers' Commissions, and Santiago López Noguera, appointed by the Governing Council of the Autonomous Region of Murcia.
The Social Council, chaired by Eugenio Galdón has sought in its agenda other issues such as the management reports of the different vicerrectorados UPCT or maximum annual spending UPCT 2016.
