The mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, received on the afternoon of Thursday, the president and secretary of the Friends of San Leandro, Fernando Moreno and Leandro Arnaldos respectively.
At the meeting, held at the Palace Hall, representatives of the cultural association treated with the mayor the possibility of forming a working group to boost the steps and procedures for establishing the path of San Leandro, a table in which involving representatives of the departments involved in the project, members of the association and others to be determined.
Fernando Moreno thanked the mayor kindness and his great involvement to fight for carry forward our proposals.
The Friends of San Leandro institution promotes Road San Leandro, one of the four saints of Cartagena, who toured the route Cartagena and Seville in the sixth century, following the routes of the Roman roads.
Cartagena would be the output stage of a journey that would end in Seville.
The road ran through San Leandro, historically documented, starting from Cartagena runs along 600 kilometers, Fuente Alamo, Totana and Lorca;
Velez Rubio (Almeria);
Las Vertientes (Cúllar) Sale Peral (Cúllar), Baza, Las Vinas (Gor), Benalúa de Guadix and Pedro Martínez (Granada);
Arbuniel, La Guardia, and La Torre del Campo Bobadilla Alcaudete (Jaén);
Baena, Santa Cruz, Cordoba, scribbles and Villanueva del Rey (Córdoba);
Marchena, Carmona, Gandul (Alcala de Guadaira) and Seville (Sevilla).
