The mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, held Thursday a meeting with the district secretary of the Workers' Commissions (CCOO), Juan Pedro Martinez, at the Palace Hall, in which the latter forwarded to the mayor's vision on the socio union today -labour city.
Issues such as the appropriateness of involving all productive sectors and promoting quality jobs and the need to strengthen certain sectors of the industrial fabric of the municipality addressed is the case Shipyard and other major companies such as sources of generation employment.
Both Lopez and Martinez agreed on the need to facilitate ways conducive to create and maintain quality jobs.
Also they discussed the opening of shops on Sundays matter where stressed the importance of follow up to confirm the actual increase in jobs.
For its part, the mayor confirmed the desire to move forward together on job creation as a priority before the delicate situation of a region hard hit by unemployment, to advance into the idea of convening a working group for employment, in which participate administration, business and other social agents.
