On December 18, International Migrants Day is commemorated around the world and, on this occasion, the City of Cartagena wanted to get involved in this celebration by organizing a program of activities being carried out during the month of December.
Workshops, sports events, cultural mediation sessions and lectures, make up this program will culminate on Friday with the reading of a manifesto at 12.00 hours outside the Town Hall.

The latter is sponsoring one of the events organized for this Migrants Day, a Solidarity March to be held on Saturday, December 19, from 10.30 hours from the esplanade of the port, whose funds are fully allocated to ACCEM and Red Cross .
Carmen Martin recalled the need to disseminate the rights of those millions of people who have to leave their countries for their lives, it is up to the council to work with the entities devoted to facilitate the actual integration of these people for peaceful relations .
In the activities of International Migrants Day collaborate CEPAIM ACCEM, Red Cross, Rascasa, Columbares, La Huertecica, Alraso, Welcomes Murcia, San Anton Coordinator, Caritas and the City of Cartagena through the Department of Social Services and Sports .
