Monday opening toy collection point fiddles campaign in the central courtyard of the office building of Calle San Miguel has occurred. The mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, along with Deputy Mayor, Ana Belen Castejon, have led this event which have been delivering a series of articles so that children can enjoy their gifts during Christmas.
The inauguration was also attended by councilors of the government team, who have given each a toy, which has joined the President of the Regional Assembly, Rosa Peñalver and state bodies through the Navy, and numerous associations such as the Red Cross, El Corte Ingles, Practiser, FC Cartagena, Carthaginians and Romans and a representation of the Holy Week Brotherhoods, among others.
The mayor stressed that optimistic before this year's campaign to collect toys and invited citizens to deliver gifts for a good cause, leave no child without a toy.
Meanwhile, Ana Belen Castejon has announced that this year a new coach will be taken in the twelfth in which, as a novelty, children with different disabilities participate together with the Deputy Mayor.
From Social Services will Castejon specifying associations and has called for patience, for they try to do it on a rotating basis throughout the term.
