The City of Cartagena, through the Department of Portal and Transparency Office has organized for Tuesday 15th of December 1 Transparency Municipal Day, with free admission, until full capacity, will run from 17 pm in the ceremonial hall of the palace on the matter Consistorial.Expertos explain the main aspects and consequences of the entry into force last December 10 law that recognizes and regulates the right to know the ciudadanos.La day will be led by Francisco Javier Lopez, consultant and vice president of the Spanish Association for Accreditation of transparency and with the participation of Jose Molina, chairman of the Regional Transparency, the body responsible for ensuring compliance with obligations regarding transparency and guarantor of rights of citizens and Miguel Ángel Blanes, lawyer of the Ombudsman of Valencia and expert in transparencia.La Councillor and Office of Transparency Portal, José María Soler, recalled that on the occasion of the entry into force of the Law Transparency, last December 3 the city of Cartagena opened its citizens Municipal Transparency Portal, within the municipal website www.cartagena.es.
Soler has stated that the concept of transparency that has launched the municipal government goes beyond this portal, as it wants to open the institution to citizens to let them participate in the management of city affairs.
The organization of this Conference on Municipal Transparency is addressed in this line Cartagena offering a vision of what transparency, what are the obligations that the City has in the matter and what rights citizens have are essentially the right to knowing or right of access to information.
