The Councillor for Education of the City of Cartagena, David Martínez, presented this morning at a press conference a new program under the name School Christmas 2015 launched the Department of Education and offered a space with educational and leisure activities for children 4 to 12 years both of whose parents are in active employment status.
He has been accompanied by the coordinator of Education, Maria Luisa Saura, and both have commented that it is the first time that this initiative is launched.
They have also explained that the aim is to reconcile work, family and social life of the parents without having to look for an outsider who leave their children during the holiday period, while school enjoy leisure time in which solidarity, gender equality and education in values ​​is encouraged.
Schools will be developed on 23, 28, 29 and 30 December and on 4, 5 and January 7, 2016, in the morning from 8.00 to 15.00.
Children will be organized into two groups: one in 4-8 years and another of 9-12.
Children will be accompanied by teachers of Arts Education, Physical and Special Education, leisure monitors and support staff.
