Effective Fire Station City of Cartagena suffocated this morning the fire in the fourth floor of an eight-storey building located in the park, in the Historic Center.
The incident occurred about half past ten and generated much excitement.
An electric heater that was in the living room was the source of the flames quickly spread throughout the rest of the house, leaving it uninhabitable.
Its inhabitant, one elderly woman, not at that moment inside.
He also was severely affected by the smoke the stairwell of the building and other upper houses.
The neighboring property, also elderly, they could not abandon, they came to the balconies and galleries for help.
Firefighters rescued and did head the flames from inside and facade of the building with water. Six of them had to be treated by health services, moving four Hospital of Santa Lucia.
About one o'clock it was taken for completion of the performance of the fire, which also involved members of the Local Police and Civil Protection.
The Councillor for Public Safety, Francisco Aznar, and the general director of Interior, Cayetano Tornel, went to the scene to get first-hand information.
