Convinced that today deliver aid will reach those most in need and grateful for the work carried out by social groups, with these words, Mayor, Jose Lopez, presided over the ceremony of municipal subsidies to entities social action and development cooperation and District of Cartagena, a total of 45 groups among which was distributed the amount of 356,000 euros.

This event was also attended by the Deputy Mayor, Ana Belen Castejon, Councillor of Greater Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, and the mayor of Social Services, Carmen Martin.

Looking ahead, the mayor added that the commitment of the municipal government with these entities is guaranteed and, on this line, is preparing a master plan for next year, in which greater participation by social groups will be encouraged and local groups and where all its programs and proposals so that they can prioritize those most in need will be studied.

A plan that, for the moment, and even lack of finish outlining municipal budgets next year, Lopez noted that could have a budget of just over 2 million and, in addition, will continue to work to bring resources, investment and businesses to the municipality.

The mayor said the municipality's situation is no different from other years and other municipalities, the crisis has been felt throughout the country and, therefore, also in Cartagena, but the truth is that the policies of the Autonomous Community , that do not quite reach, hinder our economy.

In line with this, and in response to questions from reporters, Jose Lopez has hinted at the budgets of the Autonomous Community, under discussion at the Regional Assembly, emphasizing that efforts focus on Murcia capital while forgetting the other municipalities in the region, including Cartagena, infrastructure issues, such as the AVE or the LAZ.
