The city of Cartagena Citizens Movement (MC), at the request of Mr. Morales and Santiago del Alamo is acting as president of the CREECT association, will present motion in Parliament in order to honor and put in its rightful place in Group one the most illustrious Cartagena has given this city in its historical development: D. Ricardo Codorníu Stárico.
Codorniu, born in 1846, was a Spanish engineer mountains also internationally known as "The Apostle of the Tree", whose most important actions are Espuña reforestation or restoration of the pine forest of Guardamar, action contained advance because the dunes were becoming a threat to these people.

Ricardo Codorníu Stárico, proposing the name of a street of Cartagena in his honor, in this coming 2016 coinciding with the 170th anniversary of the birth of this great visionary.
It will also request that the next nomine education center is carried out in the town, as a College or "D. Ricardo Codorniu Stárico" or "Apostle of the Tree" Institute.
