Sunday November 8, 2015, a group of independent animal rights activists, as well as various groups and associations among which is the SDARM (Society for Animal Rights in the Region of Murcia), the Refugio de Angeles and GARM (Animalist Group Murcia), will proceed with a protest against the Circo Quirós, currently installed in the city of Cartagena, particularly in the esplanade in front of Mandarache Mall.

The protest rally will start at 18: 00h and ends at 22: 00h.

I wish to express our rejection and condemnation to animal circuses because we believe that the circus and fairground animals have no place in a city that presumes of ethical values, because:

- Encourage the kidnapping and illegal wildlife trafficking, often endangered.

- Subject the animals to a humiliating life imprisonment, suffering and extremely cruel practice.

- Lack of educational values ​​instilled since lack of respect for nature and dignity of other living beings.

- Pose a risk to public safety by keeping potentially dangerous animals close to urban areas.
