The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) has launched the first fotolinera of Murcia.
It is an infrastructure for recharging electric vehicles integrated into a building.
The facility, which is located on the ground floor of Building Research Laboratories (ELDI), is edited by the company Solar Sphere Cieza SL, owned by Angel Turpin and Pilar Abellán, both graduates of Electrical Engineering UPCT.
It also has a battery storage system and can be monitored via a mobile application.
The solar panels that feed solar charging station for electric vehicles are in ELDI cover.
The photovoltaic modules consist of high efficiency cells, capable of producing energy with only 4-5% of solar radiation.
This ensures a production that extends from dawn to dusk, taking advantage of all possible useful power supplied by the sun.
The PV field has a maximum power output of 6000Wpico.
The total number of modules of 250 Wp Polycrystalline silicon is 20 and the nominal power inverter w 10,000.
The facility is in line with Royal Decree 1053/2014, which regulates how they should be charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
Its total investment amounts to 13,000 euros, and has been financed approximately 30% by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Business and Innovation of the Autonomous Region of Murcia.
The Polytechnic University of Cartagena has signed a collaboration agreement with the company Solar Sphere to promote the implementation of such facilities in the UPCT and collaborate with groups of R & D related.
The commissioning of this facility, as the Vice President for Infrastructure, Equipment and Sustainability "is a bet UPCT sustainable mobility and energy efficiency of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena evidence."
