Mayor Jose Lopez has chaired in the morning of Friday the opening of the Third Conference of Sports and Tourist Ports of the Region of Murcia, held in the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Cartagena, to discuss the impact economic sector and management models, among other issues.
The ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Development, Francisco Bernabé, president of the Port Authority, Antonio Sevilla, general director of Transport, coasts and ports, Salvador Garcia-Ayllón, the Councillor for Industry and Tourism, Obdulia Gómez, President Chamber of Commerce, Miguel Martinez, president of the Association of Nautical Clubs, Marinas and Tour of Murcia, Isaac Blas Calventus.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the mayor stressed that the holding of this conference be held in Cartagena, in the municipality that is most involved in the measures being taken from the Autonomous Community for its importance both in your slope of marina and the tourist port, is unparalleled.
In this sense, Lopez has made ​​clear the wish that count on us to promote all measures that have been adopted from the Ministry.
Other issues that the mayor also spoke to questions from journalists, have been the Thursday meeting he held yesterday with officials of the company Hansa Urbana, where both sides expressed their interest in moving forward as quickly as possible;
Rosell Hospital, on which Jose Lopez reiterated that a hospital should be fully operational and not second, and that future events will no longer be in Cartagena but in Murcia, and supported by the City.
Finally, he referred to two issues of heritage interest, referring to the BIC statement Submarine Peral, the mayor pointed out that the defense of this right, and has done for years since I was in the ranks of the municipal opposition, and as to the future location of the Puerta de Madrid, once the graphics have to agree with those involved social strata, as neighbors and traders, a meeting that could take place this coming week.
