The ninth Local Coordination Committee against Gender Violence was held Thursday
in the council room of the Town Hall, chaired by Deputy Mayor, Ana Belen Castejon, and the Councillor for Culture, Education and Equality, David Martinez Noguera.
The Local Coordination Committee is an operational instrument of work, in which are represented all municipal areas involved, directly or indirectly, in the fight against gender violence, with the aim of optimizing all actions required.
The general objective to be met by the Local Coordination Committee is to promote, at the municipal level of policies and actions to eradicate gender violence.
Its specific objectives are to improve early detection of cases of gender violence;
optimize coordination of agents, actions and resources involved in the fight against gender violence;
provide attention and agile response victims of violence;
improve the protection of victims at high risk;
inform and raise awareness on the subject at both professionals and the public in general.
The operation of the Local Coordination Committee brings benefits at different levels, always from the perspective of coordination is the key tool for providing a more efficient and effective for women who suffer domestic violence care.
In this table they are represented all the agents involved: C oncejalía Equality, CAVI, Social Services, Health Services, Security Forces of the State, Local Police, Justice, other resources.
This is the ninth Local Coordination Board, the last was held in February 2015.
