The deadline for enrollment in the veteran regional competition of young performers of classical music ends on 18 December.
Promotional concert of the contest will take place on 17, 18 and 19 November in Murcia, Cartagena and Lorca, respectively
The nineteenth edition of the contest between strings and brass back another year to give opportunity to young performers with a wide musical projection ahead.
The event is the only contest of interpreters at the regional level.

The competition is organized by the Department of Youth of the City of Cartagena, along with the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena.
In the event they can participate students who are pursuing professional Music, in any of those called, born or accredited Murcia residence modalities, as well as students who are studying music in any of the specialties called at any Conservatory region of.
The award amounts to the sum of 10,000 euros, which is divided into a first prize of 750 euros in each of the embodiments, a second 350 euros and 150 euros a third party.
In addition there is the possibility to give a special mention to the younger students, 15 years maximum, they have not got any awards, but for their acting deserve this recognition.

PROMOTIONAL EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES CALENDAR
Finally, Ricardo Segado, explained that for the tenth consecutive year, continues to organize a series of concerts Promotional with the winners of the last edition of the competition accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena.
Pedro Martinez, coordinator of the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena and secretary of the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, said that the main objective of the competition is to promote young musical talents in the region.
Martinez has assessed that these concerts give the opportunity to the winners of last year, to participate as soloists, with the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena in three concerts that will take place in Murcia, Cartagena and Lorca, the next 17, 18 and November 19 respectively.
In the three promotional concerts soloists will perform the following: Francisco Tortosa (marimba), Felicia Gomez (saxophone), Miriam Silva (vocals), Thomas Joseph Garcia (guitar), Manuel Vicente Cascales (trombone), Lazaro Millan Fernandez (piano) and Peter Millan Fernandez (cello).
At the close of the contest will be given an opportunity to one of the winners of last year playing as a soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena again.
The competition has two phases, a first screening will take place during the months of March and April, and the finals where they will play only those who have been selected in the first phase, which will take place during the month of April.
Auditions will be held in the Auditorium of the Conservatory of Music in Cartagena, located at Calle Jorge Juan, s / n.
The award ceremony and the closing concert of the competition will be Friday May 6.
It will be made public when the jury in all forms and take place in the Auditorium and Convention Center The Batel, Room A.
The entrance to the promotional concerts, auditions of the competition and the final concert will be free until all seats.
