The Governing Council has authorized the Ministry of Health, through Murciano Health Service (SMS), to make the hiring of construction of the first phase of the Health Center of San Anton in Cartagena, amounting of 414,952 euros and a deadline of five months.
This first phase of the construction affects an area of ​​518.09 square meters spread over a plant that will house the query area of ​​Pediatrics, administrative and support services area.
After the first, the Ministry of Health plans to invest 3.1 million euros in the second phase, whose execution time is 16 months.
The aim is to overcome the shortcomings of the current building because of their age.
With this action, the regional government is to strengthen primary care network, composed of 83 health centers, 179 clinics and urgent care 48 points.
Annually, more than 2,700 primary care professionals serving the SMS more than 13 million consultations of Family and Community Medicine, Pediatrics and Nursing.
