As every November for the last 35 editions, Cartagena celebrates its jazz festival, organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena.
The festival, considered one of the oldest of Spain, begins Saturday 31 October to 22 November.
The jazz festival will receive artists like Benjamin Clementine, Kyle Eastwood, Cassandra Wilson or the flaming National Award for Contemporary Music, Jorge Pardo.

On Friday November 13 the festival hosts two of the best male jazz vocalists of the time. Kurt Elling and Joseph James Elling, considered number one among jazz vocalists of modernity.
He comes to the festival with his latest album Passion World.
José James arrives Yesterday I Had the Blues, his tribute to Billie Holiday, in the centenary year of the birth of Lady Day.
Ibrahim Maalouf arrive on Saturday November 14 in a double bill with Esperanza Spalding, singer, songwriter and bassist, and comes to present his new Emily's D + Evolution project. It was the first performer of jazz that won a Grammy for Best New Artist in 2011 .
Jorge Pardo, recently awarded the National Prize for Contemporary Music, it is one of the world reference in terms of jazz and flamenco is concerned, while he received the award for Best European Musician by the French Jazz Academy in 2013.
He will perform on Friday, November 20, and after he will act CMW Big Band, Benny Playing Morea, where a band will play the great songs of the universal Cuban Benny Morea.

The artist has been awarded this past Tuesday with the National Prize for Contemporary Music corresponding to 2015, recognition given annually by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, and is endowed with 30,000 euros.
The musician will perform at the 35th edition of the Cartagena Jazz Festival Flamenco Summit with Latin Jazz Project, accompanied by Jerry Gonzalez, Javier Colina, Antonio Serrano, Candy, Rycardo Piranha S. Moreno and Israel.

Jorge Pardo (Madrid, 1956) is intéérprete tenor and soprano saxophone and flute tambiéén.
