We invite citizens to take out of their drawers forgotten rolls of film to bring us back to enjoy along with the audience at the screening, said Salvador Vivancos, Memory Celluloid, during the presentation ceremony, which took place in Tuesday morning, the mayor of Culture, David Martinez and Vice President of FICC, Sergio Martinez.
Martinez has made ​​clear the support of the council to such initiatives, collecting home movies that, over time, have become documents of great historical value, missing windows, past fashions, loved ones or neighborhoods in transition.
The goal is for all those people who keep old tape reels or inherited from generation to generation, and does not have the necessary equipment to properly see it, to bring them out and share. Contrary to popular belief, added Vivancos, the family movies can contain very beautiful images, they are a prerequisite for the analysis of everyday life, and contain only images to document history.
The reception of films will run until November 25, and on the 26th, in the Palacio Molina, where domestic films will be screened 18.00 to 20.30.
Admission is free until all seats.
The first edition of the International Day of home theater developed last year as part of the programming of the Night of Museums, a good experience that has now been repeated in another format, claimed Vivancos.
