Accompanied by Deputy Mayor, Ana Belen Castejon, the mayor participated in the events organized by former students to commemorate the anniversary and discover a monument in front of the door of the old school, ISEN facilities today in tribute to a generation of Cartagena who passed through its classrooms.
The sculpture, designed by retired Shipyard Rosique Belmonte, representing three shipbuilding trades: blacksmith, turner and welder.
A gala was also held in the Nuevo Teatro Circo, where Jose Lopez delivered a moving speech and performed the musical group Carthagonova.
The School Learner Bazán kept its doors open from 1926-1996.
