The departments involved in the project Intercultural Community (ICI) analyzed the results obtained in the first year of work of the Community actions carried out in the Old Town and Sector Station.
The project objective is to improve the coexistence and social cohesion in the area.
The results were presented by the foundation CEPAIM to those responsible for the departments of Social Services, Gender, Sports, Education, Participation and Decentralization, Citizen Security, Culture, Youth, Trade and Local Development Agency and Employment.
During the meeting, the Councillor for Social Services, Carmen Martin, highlighted the strong and firm commitment of the City of Cartagena for coexistence and citizen participation, as well as the work of managing diversity.
The ICI Project proposes a participatory approach of the local administration, technicians of public and private organizations and citizens.
The actions taken have had a positive impact in the neighborhoods of Old Town and Station Sector Global Citizen Action lives in the neighborhood, Open Summer School lives in your neighborhood. After vacation, and the Technical Seminar Community intervention as a tool for managing diversity, they have been a part of the results presented at the meeting.
