Deputy Mayor, Ana Belen Castejon, this morning visited the workers of the Social Services City in the building of La Milagrosa.
During the meeting with social workers, psychologists and mediators they have addressed the broad lines of action by the council on matters such as school dropout, drug addiction, family uprooting, immigration, elderly or disabled.
Deputy Mayor pointed out that social policy should be the social policy should be the crown jewel in the City of Cartagena because it is the main direct avenue of support of the municipal administration with the citizens in an unequal position compared to an environment hostile or difficult living conditions that prevent them from welfare state that guarantees the Spanish Constitution.
Therefore, Castejon thanked the work and delivery of municipal employees has since said that we must pay the utmost diligence and professionalism of our municipal services to the most vulnerable groups, in their daily lives, they do not have tools, personal or access to the task of applying for aid and provision of documentation.
