The council area of Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, held a meeting with the managing director of the Murcia Health Service (SMS), Francisco Agulló this morning.
During the meeting, held in the headquarters of the public entity in Murcia, Calderon has sent Agulló different needs and proposals concerning health services in Cartagena. Regarding the resumption of expansion work of the Health Center of San Anton, the manager SMS has informed the mayor of the upcoming tender for the first phase of construction of the new center, which will focus on the area of Pediatrics, and the awarding of which must be resolved before the end of the year.
Agulló has confirmed that the second phase of the project as quickly as possible will also be addressed.
It is recalled that the expansion work of the office were suspended by the inability of the contractor to continue with the work, declared the gerente.En regarding the Hospital del Rosell, Agulló has informed the mayor that the Ministry will present to the City of Cartagena in a short time, a proposal to expand the portfolio of services for installation sanitaria.En other matters, Calderon reported to consistory various claims arrivals of groups such as the Association of Kidney Patients Cartagena, on the dialysis shifts, or Parkinson's and Alzheimer's patients, in order to give priority in the allocation of the first issues of care when they have to go to receive health benefits.
