Ana Belen Castejón Wednesday met via videoconference, with the Spanish delegation of the European Foundation for the Information Society, which among its tasks, has to finance projects aimed at promoting transparency and administrative modernization in municipalities
Councillor of Greater Economic Strategy and Deputy Mayor, Ana Belen Castejon, and the manager of the ADLE, Diego Peñarrubia, director have held this morning a meeting by videoconference with the Spanish Delegation of the European Foundation for the Information Society, one institution responsible for financing and co-financing programs for municipalities in the EU in areas such as transparency, good governance and e-government.
After the meeting with Carlos Sainz, Head of External Relations of the European Foundation, the Deputy Mayor said that these programs are in place in more than one hundred Spanish municipalities, so Cartagena to these lines of action as they would add target projects such as Smart Cities and optimization plans, improving efficiency and municipal coffers.
Castejon has also indicated that it will work in parallel with the programs proposed by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and where Cartagena actively participate in one of the strategic committee with proposals that contribute to the progress and development municipality.
