A third of the Spanish SME in 2015 ensures that improve the business climate (07/10/2015)

32.6% of Spanish SMEs have exported during 2014, and they have allocated to international markets 26.8% of its turnover.

The average time required to start a business has been reduced from 23 days to 13, and the number of procedures from 10 to 6.

Presented today at the headquarters of the General Council of Economists SME Report Spain 2015 "Strategic Development of SMEs in Spain Analysis: the Role of Education and Innovation," prepared by the Foundation for Strategic Analysis and Development the SME (FAEDPYME).

The event was attended FAEDPYME president and rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Jose Antonio Franco;

President of the General Council of Economists, Valentín Pich;

Deputy Director General of Institutional Environment and Innovation Programme for SMEs, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, Ms.

Maria Simo, and Antonio Aragon, co-CEO of FAEDPYME and professor at the University of Murcia, who presented the report.

The first step was Maria Simo, who explained some of the actions of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism to support SMEs.

"Taking into account the crucial role of SMEs in generating employment and economic activity in Spain, the Ministry acts on four areas: promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, administrative simplification and improved access to funding," he said.

The deputy also said that "in recent years have taken numerous measures to improve indicators in these areas, and have made significant progress among which stood out: the reduction of time in business creation by reducing the number of 23-13 days and the number of procedures from 10 to 6, bringing Spain to the OECD average (9.2 days and 4.8 procedures). For his part, President of FAEDPYME said: "The study presented today is a very strong management tool for both our political leaders and for our SMEs. Knowing the strengths and weaknesses of small and medium Spanish enterprises is fundamental in the current environment, given that the vast majority of our business is made up of small- and medium ".

Jose Antonio Franco added that "it is they who enable the Spanish economy more dynamic and continue the recently launched economic growth path that should never leave."

Pich Valentin, president of the General Council of Economists institution that brings together 65 schools throughout Spain with 70,000 referees, whose major professional activities is business counseling highlighted the efforts made in the last two years by the Spanish SMEs in terms of exports (SME Report as 32.6% of SMEs exported over 2014).
