Councillor of Greater Youth, Ricardo Mowing, three European volunteers received the Erasmus + Youth in Action Programme. The volunteers will remain in Cartagena until July, developing the work pertaining European Voluntary Service.
The event took place at the Youth Space Youth House.
The council has welcomed three young people from Italy, Greece and France.
Informajoven, Bag Languages ​​and Mandarache Prize will be the projects that will work these three young people during the last ten months experience in Cartagena.
In addition, the three cooperating collaborate in extracurricular activities organized by the Board CEIP Sacred Heart of Jesus, bringing your language skills to children who need tutoring.
Ricardo Mowing has expressed his satisfaction that this project succeed once again. It is very beneficial to both parties and that volunteers acquire great experience and further perfect the language, and in turn the Department is enriched by the work of these young people contribute another point of view, said the councilman.
Community, now known as Erasmus + Youth in Action Programme, Youth Programme already accumulated a decade of work in which more than two hundred young people have benefited from informal education experiences in the field of international mobility.
The mayor of Youth has said that is a plus hosting of European volunteers and have the cooperation of those returning after completing their European Voluntary Service in other countries, as it allows to discover new aspects of non-formal learning in skills development of young people and youth professionals, using tools offered by Erasmus + Youth in Action Programme.
