The International Day of the Deaf was held last Saturday in Cartagena with a day of convicencia organized by the Association of the Deaf of Cartagena and the Regional Federation in collaboration with the City Council, which did not lack variety of activities for all ages.
The Plaza de San Francisco in the historic center of the city, was the scene of this commemoration, in which there was a battle of balloons, a batucada, lectures and culminated in a manifesto read.
All these events were attended by the mayor, Jose Lopez, and other members of the government team and the municipal corporation and regional authorities, as the Minister of Family and Equality, Thomas Violante.
