HM King Philip VI will preside on Wednesday, the 30th, the opening ceremony of the course 2015/2016 Spanish universities, to be held at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Murcia (UMU), in a joint ceremony with the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT).
The event, held at the University of Murcia on the occasion of its centenary, attended by the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Inigo Mendez de Vigo, and the presidents of the Community, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, and the Regional Assembly, Rosa Peñalver and other authorities of the state and regional administrations.
Guiding thirty Spanish universities will also participate in the national college course opening.
The event also will include representatives of students, teaching and research staff and administration and services of the two public universities.

After the speech the rector of the University of Murcia, José Orihuela, King closed the act and declared opened the academic year.
Moreover, yesterday, September 29, at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Murcia, Campus de la Merced, will be held from 9:30 am, a forum on the social value of the University, organized by the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE).
