College and high school teachers have formed Tuesday in the Polytechnic University of Cartagena in promoting entrepreneurship among young people in a day of teaching innovation organized by the Office of Entrepreneurship and Business Creation Technology Based UPCT to publicize the Enterprise + European project, which is a partner of the European Business and Innovation Centre of Murcia (CEEIM).
During the meeting, held at the Faculty of Sciences of the Company, gave a lecture on German Gunther Settelmeier manager, who explained the entrepreneurship training program for unemployed youth for which works in Germany.
"In a week we teach them to do their business ideas through a simulation in which business creation organizational skills, marketing, sales, production, financial calculation and recruitment actually develop," he describes the German expert.
More than 1,200 young people have gone through these intensive courses and "between 20% and 30% found funding to carry out its business plan," says Settelmeier.
The event, part of the training workshops on innovative methods of promoting self-employment that is performing this week CEEIM, is aimed at high school and college teachers or vocational training and support to work in the promotion of entrepreneurship and wish to acquire the necessary qualifications to successfully implement both methodologies.
The training workshops are based on two methodologies proven successful in Germany, developed by the University of Duisburg-Essen and Bochum, who leads a project that also involved Greek, Hungarian and Lithuanian organizations.
"One of the methods is focused on detecting and promoting personal skills for entrepreneurship and the other to the need for business management knowledge," says Esther Peñalver, the CEEIM.
The Enterprise Project + + is part of the Erasmus program and its main objective is to promote entrepreneurship and enhance the strengths of students, entrepreneurs and unemployed in order to enable them to start a business project.
A group of professors from the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) has launched various activities within the educational programs of their subjects to implement the cross-competition "Design and undertake innovative projects" among students;
so that they acquire specific professional skills for the promotion and development of entrepreneurship teaching practices certain exercises and activities on creation and implementation of business ideas.
