The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) welcomes this week's international conference on marine technologies Martech, attended by nearly one hundred researchers and experts from around the world, and where the latest industry are presented, such as underwater holography and communication through minisatellites with underwater vehicles.
Wednesday plenary were held conferences on holography in Oceanography and the expedition to the wreck Arqua Maria de las Mercedes, the latter given by Ivan Negueruela.
The Congress will continue in the Faculty of Sciences of the Company until tomorrow with a multitude of presentations by international experts such as Professor Kanna Rajan, a researcher at the University of Oporto and collaborator of NASA and the European Space Agency.
"We will address the state of art of the most advanced marine technology," he adds Congress coordinator and teacher UPCT, Javier Gilabert.
On Tuesday, five technology companies made demonstrative tutorials, open to the general public, on new techniques in the field, such as underwater holographic microscope, the current meter or multiparameter probes.
