From Thursday, and until September 10, will remain open registration period for first year students of the University of Elders of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT).
Registration for second and third year will be held between 9 and 17 September.
This university program, focusing on scientific and cultural development, is aimed at people over 50 years.
For this course 2015-2016 a total of 50 first-year seats on offer.
Vacancies last year sold out in just two hours.
From 9:00 am to people interested in starting their studies at the University of Elders must register through the website of the academic institution (upct.es) or in person, during office hours at the office University Extension, located in the east wing of the building of the Rectory.
The price of tuition for all subjects in the first course is 125 euros.
UPCT deal also grants the total enrollment to 15% of the places offered based on the economic and family circumstances of the claimants.
To apply for a scholarship, the student must provide all future documents establishing economic context.
Aimed at promoting inter-generational relationships, Senior University has renewed its range of subjects and has a wide range of subjects that not only complete a professional training, but is presented as a consolidation of the vision of diversity and development of university and academic spirit.
Thus, in the first year of the University Senior, students will have as compulsory subjects: Biology and human health, Contemporary History of Spain, the literature through texts, geological heritage and mining districts of Cartagena-La Union and Mazarrón, Counting well for better living and relationship with banks (savings and investment formulas).
In addition, students must choose between electives: Introduction to the history of technology in Cartagena, French Language, Introduction to instrumental analysis techniques and graphic and artistic expression.
Each of the subjects have a practical section that will be developed through work in the computer lab or in the laboratory, and through visits and guided outings.
All subjects are taught in the Faculty of Business, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 17:00 to 18:30 or 19:00 to 20:30.
