The mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, met this morning with representatives of Cartagena Vía Libre, a group that proposes alternatives mobility in the city by encouraging the use of bicycles.
The meeting was also attended by the Security council, Francisco Aznar, Culture, David Martinez and Quality of Life, Francisco Jose Calderon, respectively.
The mayor and aldermen have heard the recommendations for improving pedestrian and bicycle traffic in the city as well as the need for safe school routes.
Lopez has considered these proposals and noted, especially on the issue of bike path in terms of new construction is concerned.
The mayor also study the adaptation of the areas that lack it.
This meeting served to address the needs and take note of the proposals of Via Libre Cartagena but both sides have said the next meeting which will continue to advance in mobility.
