Agents of the local police in Cartagena, belonging to the Control Unit and Consumer establishments (UCECO) in collaboration with the various police units on duty public safety, seized last Wednesday, August 19, at Sea 400 glass products alerted by the Spanish Agency for Consumer Food Safety and Nutrition (AECNOSAN).
The incident occurred at 23:30 at night on the waterfront to watch the agents that there were four positions exercising activity without a license and selling harmful products for consumption.
Among the seized products they were:
- Toys with risk of suffocation, poisoning and various injuries Plush toys contained a battery-operated mechanism, which were easily accessible, while the contact points of the batteries have sharp edges and do not carry the warning pictograms or electric toys - laser pointers at risk of eye damage - guns blowing bubbles presenting risk of infection, poisoning and various injuries, by the presence of microorganisms without sufficient mechanical strength, generating sharp edges.
All items seized will be destroyed later, given the risk they offer.
