Thirty schools in Cartagena and Shire are being reformed through various works to improve the functionality of the same. All childhood and primary education schools have been addressed by small maintenance.
The councilor of Education, David Martinez, explained that e n centers should prevail functionality before the design.
From City Hall, the skills we have in the centers can not go beyond maintenance of the buildings, but we will try to work with small centers can adapt to the start of each course respond to the needs presented.
On the other hand, the mayor has passed since the first time it has reminded the Ministry of Education must meet the needs and requests of schools. In fact, David Martinez explained that the city is undertaking 30 works compared to six of which he is taking over the Ministry.
The Department of Education has taken into account the urgency of some actions to be undertaken for the safety of the students, since in some centers are detached or cracked tiles walls.

The mayor explained that I have visited several schools in these two months and have seen their needs, we have also listened to managers and AMPAS teams and we have made ​​it known that the necessary work will performing slowly because I am aware of the importance of having a functional center.
In addition, the Department has also taken charge of accommodations for those students who have disabilities.
Although these works of adaptation within the competence of the Ministry of Education, the City of Cartagena will take because of the haste and urgency of some of them, such as building a ramp at one of the schools.
