Fire Brigade troops have intervened in the fire, which occurred at about 1 pm, on the fourth floor of the hospital.
The mayor of Public Safety has said that the evacuation plan worked and proceeded to transfer the sick plant near the focus
The councilor for Citizen Security, Francisco Aznar, has reported that the fire that occurred about 13.00 hours in the Hospital of Saint Lucia is already controlled and extinguished, after the work of the troops from Fire Station Cartagena, all crew thereof, outputs consist of three full four firefighters, a corporal and a driver each, which, when notified of the incident, have come immediately.
Apparently the fire occurred on the fourth floor, in a technical wing of the hospital, starting up the evacuation plan, resulting in transfer of patients who were closer to the focus.
Aznar has sought to convey reassurance to relatives and patients of the hospital, since, thanks to the rapid intervention of firefighters, have been able to control the fire with no regrets injury.
