The Department of Social Services, through the Immigration Program, held Sunday informative session work with the Ghanaian Association of Cartagena, attended by municipal officers, namely a social worker and a labor mediator.
The purpose of this meeting was to respond to the request a few weeks ago by the group, to address issues of immigration, such as renewal of permits, family reunifications health reforms, obligations and rights in general, among others.
This approach to appropriate information is guaranteed by the municipal technicians, so it was planned and organized the meeting in a space and time to facilitate assistance from stakeholders.
In addition, there are many occasions where the mafias facilitate and charge procedures and information that are not true, which causes greater exclusion and vulnerability of these people.
Ghana accounts for 1 per cent foreign population residing in our city, but s or participation in the neighborhoods, working with neighborhood associations and groups in the area, is very significant.
Ghanaian Association was established in 2013 and its board was one that held a working meeting during the visit of European experts last April.
